William Alban Williams

Birth: 9/3/1899
Regiment: 36145 Seaman Royal Navy


William was a son of Charles, foreman wool dyer, and Jane & lived in Gas Street with his 4 brothers. He joined the Navy, Royal Fleet reserve and served on a number of ships, including HMS Victory, Vivid, Powerful and Erin. He was 5'3"with a 31.5" chest, sandy hair, blue eyes and a fresh complexion. In 1916 he had a Rheumatic fever and knee injries. He joined the RFR on 05/05/1920 until 1929.
