William Arthur Wilcox

Birth: 1886
Regiment: 387 - 7th Battalion RWF


William was born in Newtown. He was the son of William, a labourer and Mary. His 4 brothers and the family lived in New Church Street. He started working as a clerk, he married Elizabeth. He attended a number of RWF Summer Training Camps. By 1911 he was living in Crynfryn Place and working as a clerk. He was 5'6" with a 34.5" chest, fair hair and blue eyes with good vision. After 1916 joined the Merchant Service. He was demobbed in 1919.
