Richard Wilcox

Birth: 1875
Regiment: 38902 - 3rd Battalion Welsh Regiment


Richard was born in Newtown to William and Mary and was working as a warehouseman in the woolen industry. A brother to William A (See record below), himself, 4 brothers, mother, father and a nephew all lived in Church Street. He was 5'7" with a 36" chest, dark complexion, brown eyes, black/grey hair. At the time of his enlistment he was living near Porth working as a collier. He was discharged after 208 days of service. He married Alice and had 4 childeren: Edward, Lesley, Joseph and Owen.
