George was a son of George Henry, a stoker & Ellen (Gough), and had 3 sisters & a brother. He worked in the Commercial Street wool warehouse. Later he moved to Glamorgan and enlisted at Tonypandy. George died of his wounds in Flanders and is commemorated in St David's Church.
