William Richard Evans

William was a son of Edward & Elizabeth & was previously a grocer's assisant for Mr. Swain, 23 High Street. He was injured in the mud in 'No Man's Land', where he was struck several times by shrapnel. He was buried in the Baupaume Post Military Cemetery on the Somme and is commemorated at the Baptist Chapel. He received the British War & Victory medals.
