John was the son of John & Clara, and later moved to live in Welshpool. He had 4 brothers & 3 sisters. He was killed in action in France & is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Zonnabike, West Veacorderen, Belgium. John was awarded the British War & Victory medals.
