Edward was the son of David and born at Manafon where he lived with his father and sister.  He later lived in Liverpool where he enlisted. Edward was married to Mary Elizabeth, and they had 3 daughters.  He was killed on the Western Front on 14th July 1916 and is commemorated on the Ploegsteer Memorial, panel 5. Edward received the Victory and British War medals.
